International Camp Reflections by Myndi

When we first arrived at the campsite, I complained about the dirty toilets and huts. As I was in a camp, I learnt to tolerate. On the first day, we went to a pottery class to make a photo frame. The next day, we went to the Science Centre to watch a movie on caves.  On the third day, we had an international night where participants from around the world such as Hong Kong, Malaysia, USA and many more had to perform. On day 5, we went to East Coast park to build sandcastles. Through the sandcastle building activity, I learnt that teamwork is really important as if we do not pack the sand properly it will crumble down easily and our effort would go to waste. This is a camp I would never forget! J

International Camp Reflections by Joleen

I have made many friends from local and international countries including brownies from USA, Malaysia and Papua New Guinea. At camp, we had all learnt about other countries. We went to Kranji for pottery, sandcastle building at East Coast Park and went to Singapore Science Centre for an IMAX movie. We had a campfire on the last night and everyone had a good time. On the last day, we had a prize presentation ceremony and everyone was very sad to leave the camp. All of us wanted to attend another International Camp to know more about each other and our countries.

International Camp Reflections by Rachel

I am very happy and grateful that I got selected to attend Girl Guides International Camp 2012. It was a very fun learning experience!

I had the opportunity to make new friends and learn new skills. I also got the chance to bond with some of my friends from school who also went for the camp.
