Launch of Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Logo

***Updated 7th Jan 2009***

The organiser of the event has decided not to accept children runners as some areas along the running trail are narrow and children may be pushed and ran over. They apologise for the late change in this decision.

We have been given the opportunity to witness the launch of the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Logo. This event is known as “CAN!” - "We CAN! Create.Action.Now". It will be held on 10th January 2008, Saturday at SMU Green + University Square. Transport will be provided from Guide House at 1pm and the bus will bring us back to Guide House at about 6pm. Besides witnessing the launch of the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Logo, you may also take part in the 2010 metres run (All runners will receive CAN! T-shirt and CAN! Run certificate). There will also be sports try-out booths featuring YOG sports such as wrestling, handball and even equestrian.

Please inform Miss Koh as soon as possible if you are interested in participating in the event. There are only 80 places allocated to Brownies, Guides and YAs all over
Singapore. It is on a first-come-first-serve basis so got to act fast if you want to take part in the event.

Troop 186 has sent us another package!

In October, we sent Troop 186 our Chocolate Mint Cookies, some craft items, mini trefoils, friendship patches, a postcard, a mini Singapore flag and a Singapore guide book. Look at what they have sent us! =D

Candy canes and little dolls

Peanut butter and maple syrup

Badges & patches

Stickers, peppermint puffs, spiced tea

Who shall get to keep the bear?

Brownies who have written to Troop 186 may look for
Mrs Zakaria to collect the letters from your pen pals when school reopens. What shall we send them this time?
