World Thinking Day 2009

PNA Award - Gold

Both SCG 1st & 2nd Pack have been awarded the Gold for the Puan Noor Aishah Award for our outstanding contribution and achievement in 2008. The plaques were presented to us during the World Thinking Day Celebration 2009 at the Singapore Indor Stadium. The PNA Award is presented to packs who fulfilled the criteria set by Girl Guides Singapore. The criteria includes Leadership, Brownie Attendance, Brownie Services, Brownie Attainment & Brownie Competition. Thank you all Brownie Leaders, Brownies, Tweenies & volunteers who have contributed in the attainment of the awards.

Do reflect on the World Thinking Day message from Mrs Joy Balakrishnan as well as the World Thinking Day theme. As mentioned by Mrs Balakrishnan, let's be proactive in seeking ways to make a contribution, have the moral courage to speak up for what is right and develop a passion for learning so that we can make use of the knowedge gained and take constructive steps to make a difference.

The revamped GGS website has also been launched at the World Thinking Day Celebration today. You can submit your blogs, photos and videos and win the GIZMORATI GIRL PATCHES.

Reminder for Enrolled Brownies

Reminder:

All enrolled Brownies are to go to school in the Brownie uniform on 20th Feb (Friday). Brownies who have PE lessons on Friday may change into the PE attire before PE lesson. The Thinking Day Message by our President, Mrs Joy Balarishnan (ex-SCGS pupil), will be read out after the flag raising ceremony.

Please also ensure that the new Thinking Day Patch has been sewn onto your uniform (next to your six emblem).

Thinking Day (22nd Feb) is the day to think about our sister Guides and Scouts all over the world think about each other. Please go to the Brownie board to view the postcards that the Brownies, Guides and Girl Scouts from other countries have sent to us.
