Collection of Old Newspapers

Please bring old newspapers for recycling from next Monday onwards. Your Sixers will be collecting the old newspapers from you. The last day of the collection is on 25 March (Friday).

Postponement of Inter Unit activity: Reaching Out to Brownie Sisters

The Inter Unit activity: Reaching Out to Brownie Sisters originally scheduled on 9 July 2009 will be postponed to a later date (most likely after SA2). Another consent form will be issued once the new date is confirmed.

Reminder for Enrolled Brownies

Reminder:

All enrolled Brownies are to go to school in the Brownie uniform on 20th Feb (Friday). Brownies who have PE lessons on Friday may change into the PE attire before PE lesson. The Thinking Day Message by our President, Mrs Joy Balarishnan (ex-SCGS pupil), will be read out after the flag raising ceremony.

Please also ensure that the new Thinking Day Patch has been sewn onto your uniform (next to your six emblem).

Thinking Day Patch

Thinking Day (22nd Feb) is the day to think about our sister Guides and Scouts all over the world think about each other. Please go to the Brownie board to view the postcards that the Brownies, Guides and Girl Scouts from other countries have sent to us.

Southern Ridges Walk

Since the Southern Ridges Walk has got the most votes, we shall go for it. The tentative date for the walk will be on 7th March, Saturday. We will only be doing part of the trail. The walk will start from HortPark and we will end off at the Marang Trail. This will cover most of the exciting parts - Alexandra Arch, Forest Walk, Hilltop Walk, Henderson Waves & Faber Walk. The walk should take no more than 2hours if we don't rest too much. We will try to start off early say, 8am so that it will not be too hot. Any violent objections?

Tweenies

The P3 Tweenies will be joining us on 19th January. Let's give them a warm welcome. ^__^ P4 Tweenies will soon be Brownies officially after enrolment. The enrolment ceremony will be on 9th February.

GGS Carnival 2009

We are invited to set up a stall at the GGS Carnival. We will most likely be selling stationery, gifts & soft toys. Each Brownie will be given a stack of coupons worth $25 to sell. So ask your friends and family to start saving up for the event now. =)
